Dr Charlotte 'Charley' Barnes is an author and academic based in Worcestershire, UK. She is a lecturer in Cultural Studies at the University of Worcester, where she teaches across various disciplines including Creative Writing, English literature, and Media and Film. Charley's research specialism is True Crime literature, and the representations of truth, fact, and creative telling in this area. In her practice-based research, Charley specialises in representations of female violence in contemporary crime. This has culminated in over ten psychological thrillers, that investigate these representations in practice.
